The front door guy was so rude. He was so impatient and he treated me so bad. He didn't let me in because I'm from Brazil and i didn't have my official passport with me even though i have 3 different id with me and a copy of my passport. I had even my college's id. It was ridiculous.

Ehh. This place used to be magical when they had an elevated stage for people to dance upon and a darker atmosphere and people were nice. However that's all changed. Here's my experience as a bi, black guy: you start your trek to the most remote bar in Denver that's near absolutely nothing. You can't take the bus or light rail and you definitely have to plan for a ride to get here and back. You get in line. The security guard is strict for the wrong reasons (declare that people are drunk when they clearly aren't and prevent entry) and feels he is the master gatekeeper. He allows you to pass with a quick glance. You proceed to the ticket counter. You pull out a card and they're annoyed saying they no longer accept cards (???) and that it's better to charge people for ATM fees. Get out of line, do the ATM thing, accept their fee. Back in line, you pay $5 or $10. You pay for coat check, or not, and you go to the 2nd gatekeeper. With a silent wave, you're in. You walk forward, and to your left there is a lounge, a dance floor, and a huge glaring screen with pretty (and bright) visuals. To your right is a crowded bar. Drinks are good and strong, you decide you want one. You stand around awkwardly for the next 5 minutes until a bartender notices you. Are you unattractive? Wait another 3 minutes while a cute guy who just approached the counter redirects the bartender's attention towards him. Your friends wonder where you are. You wonder wher--oh, the bartender finally sees you and asks what you want. Under a minute, you get your drink and your tab. Give them 2+ dollar tip or you won't be treated nicely next time. Fast forward through the night: the music is good, but you caught on that the DJ is repeating songs like a skipping record; you go to the next room's dance floor, it's crowded but clearly a different genres of people and music. Do you fit in? Do you stand around looking at people? How long can you stand the music? Move on outside. The breeze is nice, a cup of water awaits here, too. It smells like cigarettes. You move around, following your noes. You find a fresher spot, but you catch on that everyone is young. Hmm, go back to main dance floor. Are you black or dark? Are you male? You haven't managed to find someone to dance with, and it's a half hour earlier until close, but you're forced out. You can't find your friends or you need to use the bathroom. You're given no mercy as you are shoved out. Find your friends and your ride outside. Good luck if its raining, snowing, or cold af. Pee somewhere along the building to show them how you really feel. Good night.
