  Once upon a time this place was one of the better places on Colfax for drinks in a casual, non-divey atmosphere, brunch, lunch, dinner, late night food, and desserts. Then Annie's Cafe took it over. I'd have to say that it's still above average. The location in Congress Park alone carries the place, and gives it charm. I've never cared for the tacky bright neon and retro theme Annie's Cafe imported from its previous location. I'd call the service average, certainly not bad. The place is likely to be busy around the times you'd expect. Otherwise, there usually isn't a wait, or anything like that. My review isn't so positive because I never got over my favourite place in Denver being taken over by Annie's Cafe many years ago. So consider that when reading my review. This place is more appropriate for young kids since it changed ownership. Should be fine for large groups. This place all around is still above average.

  Old local place with homey decor and standard American faves like burgers and breakfast. I had a delicious bbq brisket sandwich and we shared some OK mozzarella sticks and really fabulous chocolate cake and blueberry pie. I was a little surprised at the prices- 10.50 for a basic burger (just burger, lettuce, tomato, pickles, not even any cheese), and prices went up from there for burgers with more interesting toppings. Service also was a little disappointing, with items forgotten, mistakes with toppings, and a long wait for more water. But I enjoyed the vibe and the food, and I'd definitely love to come back for breakfast.

  Annie's never disappoints! I have been coming for over a decade and the quality of the food and service stays consistent. Definitely try out the Kettle Stack as an appetizer.
